Bean is a simple to use word processor. Bean’s main focus is be a minimalist application for word processing. Bean is fast and not complicated at all. Bean does text with inline pictures. That is about all it does. Most of the settings are shown in the screenshot found below.

The limitations of Bean include lack of footnote capability, style-sheets, and only support for inline graphics. Bean cannot do floating graphics.

Bean is an excellent word processor for young children.

For users who want a feature rich free word processor, try using OpenOffice or LibreOffice.
