The Quick Access Toolbar is independent of The Ribbon Menu Tabs. This make the Quick Access Toolbar convenient as a place for frequently used commands. The user can use the Quick Access Toolbar to access those commands as an alternative to hunting through the Ribbon to get to the commands.
