Supernova 2011fe in M101 (NGC 5457) - Pinwheel Galaxy - has been discovered and can be seen with binoculars and/or telescope. This supernova will be one of the more brilliant supernovas to been seen from Earth. The supernova is located in the Pinwheel Galaxy. The Pinwheel Galaxy is next to the handle of the Big Dipper (Ursa Major). Stellarium is free astronomy software that can locate objects in the sky and can easily show where to find the Pinwheel Galaxy.
