In the other tutorials the focus was more towards using Voice4Me as assistive technology. This tutorial will show how Voice4Me can aid in teaching English or other languages and how it can be useful for travelers visiting foreign countries.
A few things to note:
To get the computer to spell, use the comma - space format. For example, to get the computer to spell “Hello” type: H, E, L, L, O, (The letters do not need to be capitalized).
To get the computer to talk in a language other than English, a voice designed for that language must be used. For example, to get the computer to talk in Spanish, a Spanish voice must be used. To get the computer to talk in German, a German voice must be used. SchoolFreeware does not sell or have any voices. If a third-party voice is to be used, it is suggested that a trial or demo of the voice be used before making any purchases. That way, you will be sure that the voice will work.
