8/4/2011

This crayfish was found walking down a trail, in a nature preserve, located in the south side of Chicago Illinois. The crayfish is believed to be a prairie crayfish Procambarus (Girardiella) Gracilis. The prairie crayfish can walk, on land, without dragging its body over the ground. The area, that this crayfish, was found, is a wetland prairie. The weather was overcast, damp, and a light rain had just stopped.

Yes, the crayfish met Mr. Foot, however, no crayfish were harmed in making this video.
